It all started in 2019, when pet sitting in Poland practically did not exist. At that time it was not easy to find someone trustworthy who could walk a dog during the day or take care of a pet while the owner was away. The only alternatives were pet hotels or occasional help from neighbors — yet not everyone wants to leave their dog in an unfamiliar place or with a random person.
That was when the idea for Alvis was born — one of the first platforms in Poland to develop pet sitting as a more thoughtful and better form of pet care. From the very beginning, we wanted it to be a service built on trust, empathy and responsibility.
We did not want anonymous profiles or random sitter selection. Instead, we are building a space where every sitter is known, trained and prepared to provide responsible care. With Alvis, you do not have to search on your own — we help match the right sitter to your pet, making the process simple, transparent and comfortable.
We also provide training for sitters, verify their knowledge and meet them in person before they start caring for pets. Becoming a sitter on our platform does not happen in five minutes. We want to be sure that every person joining Alvis is truly prepared for responsible pet care.
